The location of your photo session is one of the most important choices you make. It’s not only a huge factor in what the background of your photos will look like, but it also plays a significant role in how you will feel during your session. And while I have a preference for a type of location, I will always let you decide.

This couples session was right up my alley. We spent the evening chasing the last pockets of light in the fields behind her grandmother’s farmhouse. Having this time away from the world gave us a chance to settle into the quiet of the evening, experimenting with closeness and intimacy in front of the camera – while taking some moments to admire her grandmother’s vegetable and flower garden and to visit the chickens. A perfect evening in a place that holds many childhood memories.
