Whenever possible, I’d like to meet you in person to prepare for your wedding day. So, when I was back in the Netherlands for a weekend, I visited this lovely couple for a pre-wedding session and to talk through their wedding timeline.

For the photo session, we decided to meet at sunrise. But it was such a cloudy and overcast day that we never saw the sun. Moreover, for most of our session, it was so dark that we ended up with a collection of photos with so much grain and blur that I was a bit scared to deliver them. But to be honest, I don’t mind so much anymore. Photography is not about having a technically perfect photo; it’s about capturing emotions. And I think the lack of light added a layer of intamicy to these photos that wouldn’t have been there otherwise.
