One morning, when I was spending some time on Instagram, I came across a story from Margreet with an open invitation to co-work in a restaurant in the city we both lived in. Since I admired her work and planned on doing some things on my computer anyway, I decided to go.
Fast forward to a little while later, when I received a message. She was styling an autumn wedding and wanted to document it for her portfolio. If I wanted to spend an evening with her at the venue. So, on a cold and wet afternoon, I rode my bike to Oudaen, a castle in the city centre of Utrecht, to photograph Margreet at work – and to lend a hand in making the paper crane garlands, a personal touch she added based on the stories the couple shared with her during the preparations for their wedding.
