When I’m documenting a wedding, I interfere as little as possible. I simply capture what is: the dresses hanging on the bookshelves, your mother and sister helping you get dressed, the first look with your great love in the middle of your living room – even if that is the furthest away from the window you can possibly be. During your portraits, I will ask you to stand somewhere or move around a little – but how you do it is up to you.
These photos are not about likes on social media or recreating something you’ve seen online. These photos are meant to capture your memories, and the only way we can do that is by you being yourselves. So, we let the day unfold in all its quiet beauty and glorious chaos, and that’s how you’ll end up with an album filled with photos that will forever bring you back to this one moment in time.
